WAE REBO VILLAGE
Wae Rebo is a remote Mangarrai village with iconic cone-shaped traditional houses and it’s declared as an UNESCO World Heritage. The village is situated on around 1,100 meters above sea level, nestled in a magical and peaceful environment that makes you feel like you've arrived at the end of the world. Observe the local way of life and enjoy the calm.
To get there it's a 4-5 hours from Labuan Bajo with many bumpy sections of the street followed by a hike of 2-3 hours to the village from the closest road through a lush green tropical forest. So this trip is only for true adventurers who have a good basic level of fitness, but one that is definitely worth the effort.
You will stay in the village overnight in a common room with other travellers and the villagers will serve you dinner and breakfast.
